Cancer Free Cupcakes!!

A friend of mine at church became Cancer Free and a few people had a recovery party for her. As you can see by my logo - my favorite color is pink, so of course I had to make her cupcakes with a pink ribbon.

I wanted to share her testimony: "Back early last winter, I thought I had a pulled muscle. It was time for my yearly mammogram so I asked for an order to have one and was told it could be put off until my yearly check up a couple of months away. I felt the Lord was letting me know that it needed to be done right away! The mammogram was done a few days later. I did not tell the Dr. office I was having pain, I felt no lump (being a nurse, I knew they would have me come in for the Dr. to check me and an order may have been delayed). I looked at the pictures as they were taken and sure enough an area showed up where I was hurting. The pictures were shown to the radiologist and he ordered a closer picture, then an ultrasound. When everything was complete he asked me to come in his office. He told me it looked like classic cancer. It was as if I already knew. The biopsy was completed a few days later and I went in to get my results a couple of days later and was told 1.2cm tumor was cancer. Later, I was told the cancer was triple negative breast cancer, a very aggressive type a cancer. The Radiologist, Surgeons, and my Oncologist told me pain was not normal with breast cancer or a feeling of a pulled muscle. Words were used by the doctors such as; divine intervention, sign from above, and God let you know. I knew it would all be OK because I knew God was going to take care of me. I was tearful telling my family but felt God's peaceful presence with me at all times. The tumor ended up being 9mm, which cut my chemo in half. My surgery ended up being a lift and reduction (who over 50 would not want a lift and reduction) YES! Praise the Lord, He is our Healer and He is with us all the time."

Psalm 103:2-3 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquites, Who HEALS ALL YOUR DISEASES."
